A Focus on Sustainability: The Koehler Group Presents 2025 Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sponsorship Award
Once again this year, the Koehler Group gave out a sponsorship award for outstanding achievements in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry final exam. The prize in the amount of 2,500 euros, which is meant for professional advanced training, went to Christian Reuschel from the German municipality of Ottersweier.
The 22-year-old completed his apprenticeship as an electronics technician specializing in building maintenance at the Zimmer Group in Rheinau, Germany with an extraordinary final exam score of 91 and an exceptional grade point average of 1.5. On top of this, Reuschel played an active role in the company’s youth and trainee representation body during his apprenticeship. He will be using the earmarked prize for language study trips in the UK and France and an instructor certificate – with the goal of imparting knowledge to others himself later on.
Sustainability in focus when selecting the award winner
When deciding on this year’s sponsorship award winner, the Koehler Group attached special importance to sustainability and environmental protection. That was an area where Christian Reuschel excelled, as he had participated in projects such as the installation of a photovoltaic system, the conversion of lighting to LEDs, and a heat recovery system in his role as a trained energy scout. In addition, he is still working on reforestation projects in the Black Forest and helping out at a farm and at the historical society and tourist office.
Koehler Group HR & Legal Department Corporate Director Elke Renz and Head of Training and HR Development Simone Wölfle handed over the award during the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Award Ceremony in the Kultur- und Bürgerhaus in Denzlingen, Germany. “The sponsorship award with a focus on sustainability is our expression of the sustainability culture we practice at Koehler. Christian impressed us with his forward-looking commitment,” said Elke Renz.
