The Koehler Group has once again been awarded the BEST PLACE TO LEARN® seal of approval. With a score of 1,119 out of 1,337 possible points, the family company got a resoundingly positive result in the demanding assessment carried out by certification company AUBI-plus. With this score, the Koehler Group has once again confirmed the fact that it provides top-level training and continues to solidify its well-deserved reputation as an important center of training and attractive employer in the region.

Training quality at constantly high level

The BEST PLACE TO LEARN® seal is recognized across industries, and is awarded to companies that provide young individuals with extraordinary professional training. The basis for this certification consists of a 360‑degree survey on more than 70 quality criteria – from the recruiting and onboarding of new apprentices, to training contents, to the expertise of training personnel and career prospects. Participants in the anonymous survey included a total of 151 apprentices, former apprentices from the last three years, and trainers and training officers at the Koehler Group.

Not surprisingly, the survey results confirmed what the company already knew: The excellent quality of training provided by Koehler has been solidified even further since its last certification. “The fact that the score we got was nearly identical to the one we got in 2021 confirms that we’ve been able to keep our training offerings at a constantly high level despite growing challenges such as rising apprentice numbers and new apprenticeship areas,” says Simone Wölfle, the head of Training and HR Development at the Koehler Group. “Our goal is to give individuals the perfect start in their careers – with training that offers excellent prospects.”

Training rate exceeds rate set in 2030 sustainability goal

Training and development is a top priority for the Koehler Group. As of this writing, the business group is providing 109 apprentices and students with training at five sites in Germany. And with a training rate of 4.8% in 2024, the Koehler Group has already outdone the sustainability strategy goal of at least 4% it had set for 2030 – a clear sign of the company’s long-term commitment to sustainable and future-oriented HR development.
